During the past couple of weeks I’ve been rampantly consuming everything I can find in a new technical area that I’ll be working in. The very best resource I’ve found so far has been screencasts from a particular developer. This developer hosts video screencasts of him walking through 20 or so code scenarios using the SDK he’s evangelizing. The screencasts are literally a walkthrough in devstudio and the debugger of him writing the code and narrating while he goes.

I’ve already picked up one new habit from watching him code that’s made me more efficient. It’s the benefit of the XP (eXtreme Programming) without being tied behind someone else’s desk all day.

I’ll pick up Camtasia and do the same. Any suggestions on where to host the screencasts? Youtube’s player is too small to be useful. Google-video as I recall is pretty small as well. Vimeo looks reasonable. Any other suggestions?
